The IALE 2021 European Landscape Ecology Congress in Warsaw
We would like to proudly communicate that the venue and organisers of the next IALE European Landscape Ecology Congress have been recently officially announced during the 10th IALE World Congress in Milan. The IALE 2021 European Landscape Ecology Congress will take place in Warsaw, Poland from 5 to 9 July 2021 and will be co-organised by the four entities: European Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE-Europe), Polish Association for Landscape Ecology (PAEK), Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization, Polish Academy of Sciences (IGiPZ PAN) and Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, University of Warsaw (UW). IALE 2021 will feature the theme of „Landscape ecology – making the future, learning from the past”.
The European Congress is an international meeting opportunity for everyone working with landscape ecology or who has an interest in the field. It takes place every four years. In this millennium, already five editions were organised: Stockholm/Tartu (Sweden/Estonia, 2001), Faro (Portugal, 2005), Salzburg (Austria, 2009), Manchester (UK, 2013) and Ghent (Belgium, 2017). IALE 2021 will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the latest in landscape ecology, to share your own work and to discuss with people from all over Europe and beyond. So, save the date (5-9 July 2021)!
We anticipate opening the call for symposia in spring 2020, and call for abstracts – in autumn 2020. Further information will be successively published on the dedicated congress website (https://www.iale2021.eu) and on the IALE-Europe website (https://iale-europe.eu/iale2021). For enquiries contact congress@iale2021.eu.
On behalf of the organizers
